Here is what I did! And it works brilliantly!
As creatives we can easily block our creativity by telling ourselves that we don’t have anything to write about. It’s a belief that isn’t true. There is always something to write about. All you need to do is: Sit down and write! It’s that simple!
I’ve made it my daily practise to write at least 3 pages every morning. I go into nature, as soon as I wake up. I find a quiet spot and write. It’s the very first thing I do in the morning! No social media, no other distractions, I priorities ‘me’ time to start my day in alignment.
I write whatever wants to express itself. It could be a reflection on my previous day, something I’m contemplating, the way I feel and why, or it could be a pure stream of consciousness that’s filled with beautiful insights and inner wisdom.
Not only does this practice deepen my creative writing, but it strengthens the connection to myself. Honestly, I could not live without my morning pages anymore. It’s like checking in with my best friend every morning to make sure she is okay, and if not, we’ll chat about it.
